To our valued customers:
We are aware that our BAe Hawk ARF is being plagiarized by no less than four model companies in China. We are also aware that some of the parts being used in these models may have been previously rejected by JHH. Please note that these copies are NOT JHH products. We plan to release a new Hawk ARF in the future, which will be true to scale and the top quality our customers have come to expect of JHH products. Please check our website periodically for updates on the new Hawk ARF and other new products.
In addition, we are also aware that our Turbax ducted fan unit is being plagiarized in China. It has some built-in failure points and does not meet our safety standard. This product is NOT authorized by JHH nor is it being made for our company. Please be aware that a Turbax look-alike is NOT a JHH product.
Please beware of these unauthorised copies as they are NOT JHH products and do not hold to our standard of safety and quality.

British Aerospace
1182 Hawk
The Jet Hangar Hobbies/AMD 1182 Hawk is the world's
first .45-.48 size ducted fan ARF. This aircraft can be assembled
and made ready to fly in less than a week's time! You could receive
it on Monday and fly it the following Sunday. The introductory
production offering is in the colorful British Red Arrows Demonstration
Team paint scheme. The aircraft requires a minimum of 6 channels--rudder
and flaps are standard--and is designed for use with Spring Air
or Rhom Air retracts. The fuselage comes out of the box prefinished
in red and white; panel lines are molded into the fiberglass.
The inlet liners and all bulkheads are factory-installed, as are
radio/servo trays. The canopy hatch is removable for access to
the fuel tanks and for starting; the engine hatch allows for glow
plug access. The foam core wing is balsa sheeted and covered with
iron-on film. The wing is designed to be removed with two wing
bolts. A two piece exhaust liner is also included. Flight control
surfaces are designed to be hinged by the consumer using Robart
hinges points (supplied). This aircraft has been fully flight
tested and exhibits good flight qualities including a long flat
glide. Fully assembled, the Hawk weighs approximately 10 lbs.
A starter probe is required. We are always more than happy
to answer any questions you have, so please feel free to call
or email.
The Hawk has been taken to the next level! Currently
we are flying our BAe Hawk ARF with a Wren MW-54 turbine engine
and Wren designed, double-wall augmenter tailpipe (see the installation
here).
The aircraft has exceptional performance! The MW-54 engine is
a perfect match for this aircraft. Weighing in at 12 lbs dry, carrying
64 oz of fuel, the aircraft flys at around 170 mph in level flight
but still slows down and settles beautifully on landings. The
installation is very simple and can be completed in a matter of
hours. A laser cut wood installation kit and instructions will
be available shortly. For a limited time, we are offering special
pricing on the Hawk ARF kit with turbine installation kit, Wren
MW-54 turbine engine, and augmenter tailpipe for only $2,395.00
+ shipping.

The above pictures show the MW-54 turbine installation and
Turbax/OS 46 vx-df ducted fan installation. The "Dragon Hawk"
was painted to represent a scale paint scheme. To make the aircraft
paint ready, the Red Arrows ARF paint scheme was sanded and primered.
The aircraft was then painted.
