(6/1/08) We are currently testing the new ASM Panther with our 12s E-Turbax system! This graceful warbird will be available for 14# thrust turbine or electric ducted fan. The Panther prototype has a wide speed range including excellent slow flight characteristics. Flying weight with the E-Turbax system and 12s1p 6000 mah "convertible" lipo packs is 18 lbs; top speed is approximately 150 mph. Fuselage: 72" long; span: 72". Producing over 14 lbs thrust at 160,000 rpm, this engine is particularly cool running with a throttle response (which was already good) that is now amazingly fast!
