LTV

A-7 D/E Corsair II

We have taken our award winning 100% scale LTV A-7 Corsair II design and made it available as a true turbine ARF! Encompassing all of the scale features from our existing A-7 kit, the ARF will come out of the box ready for your electronics installation. Factory built, the aircraft comes with pre-hinged control surfaces (ailerons, rudder, flaps, and full flying elevators), pre-hinged scale landing gear doors, hatches cut and pinned, pre-built and fibreglassed wing which comes pre mounted (no gluing required!), and much more! This aircraft is a proven performer with both ducted fan and turbine power. Its great high wing configuration and stability make it a perfect turbine trainer! The high lift provided by the A-7's fixed droop leading edge, coupled with trailing edge flaps, allows for very positive control at incredibly slow flight speeds. The aircraft possesses a long glide, making it very docile to land while the high lift wing requires only moderate take-off speeds to become airborne. The A-7 can be operated with a minimum of 5 channels and up to as many as 7 channels with flaps and speed brakes.

Initially the ARF A-7D will be offered in the Edwards Air Force Base paint scheme; the A-7E will be offered in Desert Storm. The kit may also be ordered in primer. Primarily setup for turbine, kits will be built for ducted fan use also including preinstalled ducting and fan mounts. Pricing is shown on our accessories page.

We are always more than happy to answer any questions you have, so please feel free to call or
email.

A-7 pricing and accessories can be viewed on our ACCESSORIES page.

It is recommended to open each of the instrument dial faces on the vaccuum formed instrument panel using appropriately sized brass tubes (sharpened at one end). Print the instruments onto a good quality paper and then apply the paper to the backside of the instrument panel as shown below:

10s and 12s Installation

The benefit of our 6000 mah "convertible" batteries is not only increased flight times, but also allows for a more versatile installation into our EDF jet aircraft. For our 10s and 12s E-Turbax systems isntalled into our A-7, we recommend installing 1 battery opened flat into the turtle deck behind the canopy (allows for a full depth cockpit) and the other in the lower fuselage below the inlet in front of the main gear well. A series connector is the run between the two battery packs to the ESC. The use of our 6mm bullet connectors really makes this a breeze!

ELECTRIC DUCTED FAN/DUCTED FAN

Designed for use with our Turbax and E-Turbax ducted fan systems, this ARF kit comes completely assembled ready for your EDF/DF and electronics installation. The aircraft is assembled identically between the EDF and DF versions with the flight batteries for the EDF installed in the same location as the fuel tanks for the glow DF (accessed through the canopy hatch). Assembly is fast and simple as all surfaces come pre-hinged and installed along with the wing which is pre-mounted! Additionally, the inlet duct comes pre-installed with a 2-piece exhaust duct included as well. With the E-Turbax installed, this aircraft flies much like the turbine version pushing over 150mph at full throttle with great vertical while mainting its great slow speed handling using the recommended flap settings. On takeoff, this aircraft gets airborne in 100ft! Typical flight times with the EDF are 4-5 minutes depending on throttle useage.

TURBINE

Designed for use with the MW-44 "GOLD" turbine engine, this ARF kit comes completely assembled ready for your turbine and electronics installation. Assembly is fast and simple as all surfaces come pre-hinged and installed along with the wing which is pre-mounted! Additionally, the inlet duct comes pre-installed with the thrust augmentor tube sold seperately. With the MW-44 "GOLD" installed, this aircraft flies superbly pushing over 180mph at full throttle with awesome verticals while mainting its great slow speed handling using the recommended flap settings. Carrying 32oz of fuel, flight times of 6-8 minutes are typical depending on throttle useage.
